Consultation

  • During a 2 hour onsite meeting we will discuss your desires, needs and budget as well as assess the opportunities and constraints of your property. This information will be used to formulate a Brief, Scope of works and Fee proposal for your consideration.

Concept design

  • A site survey will be undertaken to identify and locate existing garden features such as garden beds, retaining walls, paths, planting and any structures along with boundary lines and building footprints. This will be used as the baseplan for the Concept design.

  • A Concept plan will show the spatial arrangement of proposed garden features and activity zones along with Style pallets for Hardscaping and Planting. Cross sections and Perspective drawings may be included subject to Scope of works and Fee proposal.

  • These will be presented to you in a 1 hour meeting to walk you through the Concept design and gain your feedback. The Concept design will then be refined using your feedback and a further 1 hour meeting will take place to conclude the end of the Concept design phase.

Planting plans and Plant Sourcing

  • A more detailed survey of planting areas outlined in the Concept design will need to be completed to allow us to incorporate existing planting to retain and identify what needs to be removed for new planting into our plans. Soil type, sun path, exposure and hydrology will be included in this survey.

  • A minimum of 2 plans will be created subject to the Scope of works. The first plan will be Site works to be completed prior to planting and will include modification of garden beds, plant removal and soil remediation. The second is the Planting plan which will detail the location and species of all planting in your new garden, both new and existing, and irrigation recommendations.

  • These will be presented to you in a 1 hour meeting along with a more detailed Plant pallet for your approval before we begin Plant sourcing from local plant nurseries, eco sourcing where possible. From here a Plant schedule will be created and we will commence sourcing and ordering plants for you.

Detailed design

  • Certain Hardscape features such as pergolas, built in seating, water features and raised garden beds need further development alongside qualified Builders and Landscapers to ensure these are structurally sound and have a high quality finish.

Implementation

  • We work closely with trusted and experienced Builders and Landscapers to bring your garden into fruition. We can act as the main point of contact between you and our preferred Contractors or ones of your own choosing to produce quotes and project timelines.
